Welcome drinks at Rumors Resort

You’ve finally decided to take that dream to Belize, and have booked your flight (most likely Belize City), and are now in the planning process. I’m 100% sure that somewhere in your planning you heard the city San Ignacio come up. It is a major hub for traveler wish to visit the ancient ruins and caves around inland Belize. If you’ve decided to take the plunge into the Belizean forest, then you’ll be needing a place to stay. If you’re looking for a hostel or a luxury Four Seasons, then this isn’t the post for you.

My time spent in the Central American country was mesmerizing. This was in part due to the amazing facilities and faculty at Rumors Resort. I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels, hostels, and Airbnb…. some turn out to be paradise and some turn out to be nightmares. Thankfully Rumors Resort became my pleasant retreat while in Belize.

Nestled in the highlands of Belize, 5 minutes outside the San Ignacio city center, Rumors Resort offers a delightful experience. You will be met in the lobby with some delicious frozen adult drinks and shown to your room by one of the lovely receptionist. Our room was spacious clean and had a strong wifi signal. (Am I sounding like a millennial?) I was immediately impressed with what I saw. To my surprise, there was more to marvel at Rumors Resort also has a stunning pool with a view so amazing even Michelangelo couldn’t paint it.

I can honestly say I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler making their way to San Ignacio. In fact, you may catch me and my mother there sometime in 2018!
